The wonderful John Hardaker has written a great review of the new album, which you can read at Australianjazz.net. He also sent Ellen a bunch of questions about the album, about her inspiration for writing “Theseus,” the writing process, and jazz and music in general. Check it out here.

Time: Random Acts of Jazz 8pm, Captain Kirkwood 9:30pm

“Ellen Kirkwood’s ‘Theseus’, already highly attractive as a recording, is especially appropriate for live performances, its programmatic vehicle supplying a value-added cultural and dramatic experience to music that is never less than expressive, evocative and joyous.” – David Sampson
