Along with heroic regulars Ellen, Glenn and Tom, we’ll be joined by sax extraordinaire Matt Ottignon and another Jann Rutherford Memorial Award winner, Ali Foster on drums! Captain Kirkwood’s new album “Theseus and the Minotaur” will be launched at Jazzgroove on Tuesday, 30th April. It features the 5 part “Theseus and the Minotaur” suite – a narrated “music story” based on the Greek myth, plus 3 other original tracks by bandleader Ellen Kirkwood.
